10 ways to celebrate Palentine’s Day with your friends

Valentine’s Day is not just for couples. It can also be a great opportunity to show your appreciation and affection for your friends, who are always there for you through thick and thin. Whether you are single or not, you can celebrate Palentine’s Day with your pals and have a blast. Here are some ideas for how to make this day special for you and your friends.

  • Host a virtual movie night. If you and your friends are not able to meet in person due to the pandemic, you can still enjoy a cozy night of watching your favorite romantic comedies or dramas online. You can use platforms like Netflix Party or Teleparty to sync your video playback and chat with your friends while watching. Don’t forget to prepare some snacks and drinks to munch on during the movie.
  • Attend a Valentine’s craft workshop. If you are feeling creative, you can join a Valentine’s craft workshop online or in person and make some cute and personalized gifts for your friends. You can learn how to make cards, candles, jewelry, or other crafts that express your love and gratitude for your friends. You can also exchange your creations with your friends and admire each other’s work.
  • Enjoy a tasting experience. Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to indulge in some delicious food and drink with your friends. You can either order from your favorite restaurants or cook your own meals and share them with your friends. You can also try some new cuisines or dishes that you have never tried before. To make it more fun, you can also have a wine, cheese, chocolate, or coffee tasting session with your friends and compare your preferences and opinions.
  • Watch a live performance. If you and your friends are fans of music, comedy, theater, or other forms of live entertainment, you can watch a live performance online or in person and have a good laugh or a good cry together. You can choose from a variety of shows and events that suit your tastes and interests. You can also support local artists and performers who are struggling due to the pandemic by buying tickets or donating to their causes.
  • Throw a Valentine’s party for your friends – single or otherwise!  Host a chocolate-themed party for your friends – single or otherwise!  This is not a self-pity party!  If you and your friends are not into the mushy and cheesy (and darker side of Valentine’s Day), you can host a chocolate-themed party and celebrate your sweetness and joy. You can wear pajamas, play some upbeat or happy songs, watch some comedy or romance movies, or make it a game night. You can also indulge in your cravings and share your stories of good dates, hookups, or other romantic solo adventures.

Whatever you choose to do, remember that Palentine’s/Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating your friendship and having fun with your friends. You don’t need a romantic partner to enjoy this day. You just need your pals who love you for who you are. Happy Palentine’s Day!
